About EBC

Eastland Baptist Church was founded in its current location at 1229 E. High St., Bryan, OH in 1970
when it's Pastor of 22 years,Rev. Jack Smith came to Bryan. Pastor Jeff Woolum came in 1994 to lead
the Church for the next 16 years. Enter our current Pastor, Jeff Sheldon, who joined EBC in 2011. EBC
is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, State Association of Baptists in Ohio, and the NW Ohio
Baptist Association located in Toledo, OH.

EBC models itself after three purpose statements: ...Sharing HIS LOVE ...Teaching HIS WORD ...
Strengthening HIS FAMILY. In most of our ministries, we try to achieve one of these three purposes.
Our Worship is a blended type which includes the modern contemporary choruses with electric guitars
and drums as well as the wonderful hymns that under gird our faith. Our preaching is Bible-centered
expository style that speaks to relevant needs of today in an applicable manner. We offer a warm,
friendly atmosphere that we hope you will find appealing.
